New Song "Galahad" Has Music Video Debut at New Yorker
The much talked about song from Josh's recent concerts is now the much talked about song from the new EP.
And now, artist Michael Arthur has lent his creative visual prowess to it, having his drawings animated into a unique music video for the song. A few years ago, Arthur - an illustrator whose music-video work was included in the recent New York Times series "All-Nighters" - met Josh at a downtown bar. Josh had seen Arthur's video for his own band (Balthrop, Alabama) and the two discussed a possible collaboration. The result, "Galahad," a previously unreleased song by Josh, paired with drawings by Arthur and animation by John D. Ivy. Ritter's original concept was to release the song as a single, with a Kenny Rogers cover as a b-side. "That notion fell by the wayside, but inspired my idea," Arthur says. "I originally conceived of Galahad as a sort of origin story for the fellow who sits across from the Gambler in the Kenny Rogers song, which merged with the idea of Kenny Rogers as God…. Not sure what it all means, but I liked it."

What can we say about the way this tour has started. Sold out and packed theaters, never-played-before covers, rocking new presentations of fan favorites, new songs like Galahad, an audience slow dance, and more!
A Memorable Introduction to Start the Night in NYC....................As if Josh and the band weren't enough, this past Saturday night at Terminal 5 the audience was treated to a pleasant surprise: taking the stage to formerly introduce Josh was none other than Rainn Wilson, the popular actor/comedian best known for his starring role on NBC's "The Office." His breakdown analysis of Josh's lyrics and songwriting is a hilarious one you have to see. And if THAT wasn't enough, he is booted from the stage by his famous "Office" co-star, John Krasinski. Classic.

Scott Hutchison Kills....................Music fans have a lot to buzz about after these shows, thanks in no small part to Scott Hutchison (of Frightened Rabbit) who is opening the shows from the first show until Los Angeles on Feb 26 (but check the Shows page for details). Hutchison has been delivering powerhouse solo acoustic sets before Josh and the Band take the stage that you gotta see and hear.
